The difference between thermal paper and ordinary paper

Thermal paper and ordinary paper are two different types of paper that are often exposed to in daily life. While they look similar on the outside, there are clear differences in how they are used, features, and applications.

First of all, thermal paper is a special kind of paper, which is based on thermal technology. The paper can form high-resolution images and text by heat conduction without the use of ink or toner. In contrast, regular paper is made from natural materials such as cellulose and requires the use of ink or other printing materials to print content on its surface.


Secondly, thermal paper and ordinary paper are also different in the way they are used. Thermal paper needs to be used with a thermal printer in order to transfer information to the paper surface. In contrast, plain paper is widely used to print publications, promotional materials, documents and books that need to be kept for a long time.
