The key problem with thermal paper is the storage problem. Any thermal paper is also very sensitive to light, no matter how dark or faded, can greatly slow down its improvement. In addition, any further heat exposure would darken the surrounding coating, obscuring the printed image. Using friction, assuming that it is driven or rubbed, the coating will also be black. Thermal coatings can also be used with solvents, such as in the vapor coming out of highlighters and polyethylene foldouts, causing a damaging response to the image. Chemical changes in the chemical coating of thermal paper can also affect nearby stored documents.

1. Assuming that you use a printer or fax machine to convert hot copies, we suggest that you carefully consider switching to a non-hot plain paper copier. Place the thermal paper in the center of the monotonous air, and try to avoid exposure to the sun, because the heat generated by the sun will affect the color of the paper. In addition, be sure to pay attention to the thermal paper’s temperature and ambient humidity.

2. Archival evidence of temporary invalidity or temporary market value at this stage indicates that any thermal paper is very unstable and cannot be regarded as temporarily invalid. This is also about more ancient paper, even under excellent storage and disposal conditions, which can be predicted to show a clear decline in as little as five years. Thermal paper is not suitable for recording temporary invalid or temporary market value. To avoid loss of such recorded data, make sure to copy thermal paper on temporarily invalid or archived copy paper. These copies should be the original files. At present, the original thermal paper may be destroyed as a basic management routine after checking the original for data incompleteness and readability. If, for some reason, it is necessary to store the original thermal paper, photocopies should be used as backup data to avoid being unable to distinguish the original. Documents should be stored under indoor ambient conditions, that is, not exceeding 20°C or 50% absolute air humidity. Extreme temperature and ambient humidity can contribute to rapid image deterioration. Prevent rendering from being temporarily exposed to light, as this will also slow down the quality of the image. To avoid the very real risk of hot copies of other documents affecting adjacent storage, submit the hot copies separately for use in other documents.

3. Record short-term market value. This is because the prospective application life of ancient thermal sensitive thermaal paper image is very short, so it has only short-term market value record. The application of ancient thermal sensitive paper even becomes a difficult problem. Therefore, if you need a hot copy longer than five years, or if you need to dispose of it in large quantities, think about making a copy for storage. Suppose you can’t guarantee that, if you run out of paper, you’re going to have to pay attention. This should include storing them centrally away from extremes of temperature and ambient humidity, preventing the presentation from temporarily leaking into light, and storing them separately from other documents.
